It’s a trend that doesn’t seem to be dying down anytime soon. When the iPhone clones first came out, consumers liked them because they had some extra features and were cheaper to own than the original. Namely, people liked the availability of two sim slots, the shake and tilt feature, and the fact that you could remove the battery yourself. But, today, there’s a whole new reason that folks like these phones and that has everything to do with the new round of mini or smaller phones that have come out. I’ll discuss two models which I think are the best of the best in the following article.
If I had to name the best mini iPhone clones six months ago, my answer likely would have been different than it is today. I might have said the M188 or the P168S. However, neither of those two models are the best selling minis today. No, that honor goes to either the KA08 or the i9 – and only one of these phones is really a true mini.
I believe that one reason that the i9 is such a brisk seller under this category is that it is a smaller, sleeker phone than what you’d typically picture when you think of the iPhone. It’s just under 90 grams in weight and measures 110 x 60 x 11.5mm. This is not the fat and heavy iPhone clones that sold well in the early days, but it’s technically not a true mini. And, this phone is loaded and functions very well. It’s a true quad band, has the shake and tilt feature, supports Java, has an upgraded digital camera and web cam, and has what is called “dual sim active” which means that you can have both cards online at one time without needing to stitch them out or to go back and forth. However, this one doesn’t have all of the color options of some of the other minis, which I’ll discuss more below.
The KA08 has taken the clone world by storm because it really is a mini in the truest sense of the word. It’s no larger than a small credit card and weighs in at just under 68 grams. And, it does have all of the color options that I just talked about. Although your basic black is oddly still the most popular color, you can get this phone in silver, red, white, blue, pink, yellow and green, to name only the more mainstream colors.
Now, the KA08 has most all of the features of the i9, but one place where it is lacking is in Java. It doesn’t support it. Whether this really matter depends upon which of those Java applications that you may want or need. However, the KA does have a feature that the i9 does not offer. This is talking text where the phone will actually read your text messages to you.
So Which Mini iPhone Clone Ends Up Being Best For You?: Well, that depends on which features you value or need the most. If you are looking for the smallest model out there, it is hands down the CECT KA08. If you are looking for the most popular with the highest customer satisfaction, this is probably the i9. If Java is a must have, again, it’s going to be the 9. If you like talking text and want something other than black, then consider the K. If you’re a frequent texter and have larger hands, you might have an easier time with the size of the 9.
